The FOURTH week

“I am thirsty.”
Letter from the Pastor
At Dolores UMC, we take the health and well-being of our congregation and community very seriously. We are monitoring coronavirus (COVID-19) updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), medical professionals, and local health departments.
In addition to ongoing efforts to maintain a safe and healthy environment, we have temporarily implemented certain precautionary measures. We have plans in place for additional actions if necessitated by the severity of the outbreak.
If you are unable to attend church Sunday, sermons will be posted on our Facebook page. I will also have links available to the Hymns for that Sunday. This will enable you to sing them at home. (They will have the words.)
During this time, even though we will not be meeting together, we have new opportunities to care for one another and demonstrate Christ’s love. I will have suggestions and ideas for you to consider during this time.
Pray for those who are affected by this virus – those who are ill, the medical professionals treating them, the scientists working on vaccines and cures and the leaders making tough decisions to try and curb the spread of the virus and keep us safe. Check on your friends and neighbors. Reach out and care for one another through phone calls, emails, and social media.
As this virus spreads, doctors and nurses will be working long hours. Consider ways you can bless these medical professionals with acts of kindness and notes of appreciation.
